Paris Women’s Center “Expecting” Two New Additions this Summer

PARIS, TN – Paris Women’s Center is expanding its care family with the addition of two new OB/GYNs that will begin practicing in the clinic this summer.  Henry County Medical Center and Paris Women’s Center are very excited to announce that Pamela Evans, MD, OB/GYN is coming home and Katherine Tucker Whitfield, DO, OB/GYN is joining the practice with a move from Clarksville, TN to Paris.

“We are pleased to have two new OB/GYNs joining both Dr. Wieck and Kristian Elliott in the Paris Women’s Center,” said Lisa Casteel, HCMC CEO.  “Having four outstanding providers in one office will allow our patients to be able to receive the best of care right here at home. “

Dr. Evans had a private practice at HCMC for many years, but moved to Jackson Regional Women’s Center in April 2013.  Dr. Evans earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1995 and attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis.  Her residency was completed at the University of South Alabama in Mobile where she was also chief resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of the South in Sewanee.

Dr. Evans’s clinical specialties include general obstetrics and gynecology, gynecological surgery, urogynecology surgery, and laparoscopic and robotic surgery.  She is board certified and a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. Evans has three children and is married to Dr. Paul Evans.

Dr. Tucker Whitfield joins the Paris Women’s Center from the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital in Fort Campbell, KY as a Staff Physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  She also served at both Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and Landstuhl, Germany and the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, where she completed her residency.  Dr. Tucker earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO and her Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. Tucker Whitfield is both a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.  She married attorney Rob Whitfield in December 2016 and is so excited to join the community alongside her husband.

“We are very excited to have these two outstanding physicians join our medical staff and the Paris Women’s Center,” said Joshua Roberts, Director of Physician Practice Management.  “Both will be an asset to our hospital and community.  If you would like to make an appointment, please call the Paris Women’s Center office.  Additionally, we will be able to offer online appointment scheduling for them in the May or June timeframe.”
