Paris, TN – Interested in learning more about volunteering at Henry County Medical Center?  Then join us for our Fall Into Volunteering event set for Tuesday, October 15 at 2 p.m. in the HCMC Iris Café.

There will be refreshments and Auxiliary members there to answer any questions you might have about the various roles within the Auxiliary.

The Volunteer Auxiliary at Henry County Medical Center is comprised of nearly 50 volunteers that serve across the organization. Auxiliary volunteers offer their time, talent and dedication throughout the hospital in patient care and clerical settings. Our volunteers come from unique backgrounds and share the common interest in helping others.

The HCMC Auxiliary Volunteers not only give their time to the organization, they also participate in many special projects including making Christmas stockings for babies born in December, collecting items to donate to the Henry County Family Resource Center, and much more.

Additionally, the Auxiliary Volunteers raise funds through the Pink Petal Gift Shop, jewelry sales, and other special projects to purchase non-budgeted items requested by HCMC and HCHC as funds allow.

Are you looking to give back to our community? The HCMC Volunteer Auxiliary is always looking for new members. Our volunteers play such an important role in making Henry County Medical Center great. Studies show that people who help others are healthier, happier people. Even if you have only four hours to spare each week, volunteering can bring you added job skills, help you meet new people and give you that feeling you get from helping others.

Volunteers have a wide range of duties at Henry County Medical Center. You may like directing visitors to a loved one’s room or delivering magazines to someone who has been hospitalized. Or you may enjoy running errands, keeping a family informed about a relative’s operation or working on a computer. Some volunteers find they like working in a Gift Shop. Others enjoy driving juice carts. Whatever you enjoy doing, there’s something for you at Henry County Medical Center.

“We are so very proud of our volunteers at HCMC,” said Tory Daughrity, Director of Marketing & PR at HCMC.  “For over 65 years they have been a driving force for our organization through their time and commitment.  We couldn’t do it without our volunteers and I am so glad that they are a part of our department and organization.  If you are looking for a way to give back to the community, you really should consider becoming an HCMC volunteer.”
