HCMC Announces Final Phase of 2 East Construction Affecting Waiting Rooms, Restrooms, and Entrance to CCU

PARIS, TN – As Henry County Medical Center continues to grow forward to meet the healthcare needs of our community, we announce some construction closures that will affect patients, families, and visitors for the next month as 2 East enters its final phase of work prior to opening for patients.

Beginning Saturday, February 8, the hallway that enters the CCU from the second floor will be closed.  The project is estimated to take about four weeks to complete.  Because of this closure, the public restrooms and the CCU waiting room on the second floor will be closed to the public.  During this time, the CCU waiting room will be relocated to the first floor surgery waiting room and those needing restrooms will be directed to the public restrooms on the first floor.  Entrance to the CCU will now be from the elevators and stairwell located on Hallway E of the first floor, or the original elevators in the facility.

Maps to patients, family, and visitors will be available at the front desks, the surgery waiting area, and both ER and central registration.  The elevators and stairs to go to CCU are marked with an orange Tennessee flag.  Signage will be posted in multiple areas to guide family and visitors as well.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but once the project is complete, we believe the community will be excited to have the new progressive care unit to serve our patients,” said DeAnn Berry, Director of Critical Care/Cardiac Rehab.  “Please do not hesitate to ask any partner in the organization for help as we go through this transition.  We are here to make sure you, your family, and our visitors are taken care of during this time of transition.”
