PARIS, TN – During the Department Director’s meeting on Thursday, April 25, HCMC Administration recognized Steve Delaney, Director of Accounting, as Department Director of the Quarter.
Billie McKee, Chief Human Resources Officer, nominated Delaney for the recognition. Last year at this time, Human Resources was looking for a new HR management system, and part of that involved payroll. Payroll is a key piece of the puzzle when you want to look at changing HR management systems and Accounting is key in ensuring payroll is completed correctly. With Delaney’s experience and knowledge of the organization and willingness to help, he transitioned over to our new system Paycom, handling it with his smart wit, humor and zingers that only he can say and make you laugh.
Delaney has been a key player in the transition over the last few months. He is always very attentive and knows our payroll processes better than anyone else, striving to get it right every time. He and his team have put in countless hours to ensure our partners get paid correctly, everything is calculated appropriately and all of our reporting is done timely. He worked extensively with Paycom building reports while working on the fiscal year 2020 budget process, monthly financial reports, and many other projects and jobs in the accounting department.
“Steve is truly devoted to HCMC and supports our continued growth and change,” said McKee. “This project would not have been possible without Steve and our entire HR/Payroll team.”
Delaney has been employed at HCMC as Director of Accounting since 2006 and has worked in healthcare for over 26 years. He has been married to his wife, Danette, for 34 years.
